Hackathon Challenges

This year’s event will focus on addressing critical cybersecurity challenges, including:

Network Security

Topics such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other network-level security measures.

Cloud Security

Securing cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) with cloud-specific considerations.

IoT Security

Tackling unique challenges in securing IoT devices, including constraints and scale.

Applications, Data Security, and Privacy

Protecting data through encryption, access control, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance with privacy regulations.

Machine Learning and AI (Security Focus)

Leveraging AI/ML for threat detection, security analysis, and security automation.

Focus on STRIDE Model:

We aim to align contributions with key aspects of the STRIDE framework:

Authenticity:

Addressing spoofing threats.

Authorization:

Preventing privilege escalation.

Confidentiality:

Mitigating information disclosure risks.

Guarding against tampering.

Ensuring protection against denial-of-service attacks.
